This song is an ode “Catriona” Gray. This lady is a Filipino model whose greatest claim to fame up until the release of this track is her winning of the Miss Universe pageant in 2018. And the lyrics are based on Matthaios, a Filipino himself, more or less fantasizing about entertaining Miss Gray in a romantic nature. That is they read at points as if he and she are already involved. Yet there appears to be no real-world evidence pointing to such. So he is just appreciating Catriona’s beauty – likening it to heaven itself – and wishing that she was indeed his own. Or a simpler way of stating matters is that Matthaios is smitten by Gray – so much so that just being able to look at her gives him a greater appreciation of life.
